Working with Master Trainer Elaine Maly, St. Ann's adult day program staff and elders are exploring the Beautiful Question - "if you could have a super power, what would it be?"
But they are taking it 10 steps further to create full stories around those super heros. They are collaborating with artist Emma Daisy to create comic books that will be shared in a public celebration.

Certification assures you that you have successfully transitioned from training to practice, and enables you to facilitate storytelling circles and call them TimeSlips sessions. Certified Facilitators can “model” Time Slips for others, but they can not “certify” others. That is reserved for people trained as In-House Trainers and Master Trainers.
As part of our mission to make creative engagement available to all, our Creativity Center is free to use without training. We think the training will be enormously helpful - but it’s not required.
The biggest high point for me is, I have one resident that doesn't come out of her room much, so I do a room visit with her and when I visit she will ask me if I brought a story picture. Storytelling has helped bring her out of her shell, and it's something that she enjoys.
Oh my goodness - the JOY and DELIGHT of the whole shared creative process is so uplifting - who can stop smiling? It affects everyone and ripples out.
One of the participants proudly stated ‘I can’t remember, but here I can imagine’, which I found an incredibly moving testament to the power of this programme.
Having a master trainer to work directly with has been a real gift.
